The Resilience Toolkit

Latest Progress: December 2025

Resilient is drafted!

It's done. The second Essential Skills Series professional development book, a toolkit for building resilience, is written and all the diagrams composed. 30 tools, five spheres of resilience to reflect and take action. Now the focus is editing and refining.

Resilience is such an important aspect of our intra- and interpersonal skills sets, I'm sure it will be a useful resource for anyone interested in better understanding processes of resilience and applying methods to build resilience.

This toolkit will be published with additional resources to support blended learning (the book offline + practice library online - as with Problem Solver) and a workshop kit to support instructor-led training and delivering in-person learning experiences.

I’ve chosen a new colour scheme, with the de Stijl inspired design, visual anchoring and navigation of ideas continuing. Inside is a breakdown of the skill (how resilience is understood and practiced in different schools of thought and professions) as well as a tightly curated compilation of tools to strengthen resilience.

For those waiting, if you're on the 'Notify Me' list you will be first to know when the Resilient skills guide publication can be ordered (and I'll post updates here).

Creating the Resilient cover

Over the next two months it's school holidays in Australia. I'll be working through, although I'll try to be kinder to myself during the 3 weeks daycare closure.

Over the holiday period, I hope everyone has a restful, peaceful break, with time for whatever will make the year ahead the best yet.
