I was invited to be part of Google X's Women in AI network, with dinners being held in Mountain View, London and Berlin.

X is a research lab established by Google in 2010 as a place to test and potentially develop ambitious ideas that address the most difficult global or technological challenges at present: its so-called moonshot factory. My favourite is project Loon which seeks to solve the problem of providing low cost internet coverage in hard to reach locations. To do so X developed new technologies to place balloons in the stratosphere that provide connectivity below and autonomously steer themselves to optimally serve target locations in light of coverage goals and changing weather conditions.
At the dinner I met some amazing women working in different domains of AI development and policy as well as members of X and the Google Brain team visiting Berlin from the US for the event.
Overall the dinner series in Mountain View, London and Berlin convened women from 12 universities and approximately 60 companies and organizations, building a network of 150+ women across 3 cities.
