21st century skills

Until the turn this century, education systems focused on preparing students to accumulate content and knowledge.

21st century skills

Although literacy and numeracy are still important, they are not sufficient in the age of ubiquitous, easily accessible information that we live in.

What’s needed for success in the future workforce is less about knowledge retention and technical prowess such as coding (although digital literacy is crucial) and more about nurturing 'learning' abilities, think:

➡ Critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, the ability to innovate

➕ “C” skills such as collaboration, communication and connection

The groundwork for these skills begins in kindergarten and we can empower children, students, and anyone in the labour force to cultivate 21st century skills and mindsets by engaging in solving real-world issues with user-friendly tools (including generative AI), collaborative methods, and diversity.
